Jovia Godfrey is both the Admissions Officer at Saint Constantine College and a 7th Grade Writing Tutorial teacher at The Saint Constantine School in Houston, Texas. In 2006, she earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism from Northeastern University. Upon graduating from Northeastern, Jovia was hired as the founding Producer/Director of
Boston Public Schools’ BPS-TV. There, in partnership with Boston City TV, she aided in the buildout of the district’s television broadcasting pathway program for high schoolers, inaugurated the live-to-air capabilities for the Boston Public School Committee’s monthly meetings, and helped to facilitate a partnership between The City of Boston and Turner Broadcasting System in Atlanta, GA.

Prior to joining the Saint Constantine School community in 2022, Jovia spent ten years homeschooling her children. During those homeschooling years, she also ran a successful Mary Kay business, sold real estate, and worked in airline customer service. Jovia and her husband, Chris, have five children and they operate a budding graphic and fine arts business. Jovia is also currently developing NENEN – a system designed to close the care gap for career-driven moms in the United States.

Jovia attributes her giftings to having had an interestingly curated, ordered, and blessed upbringing, which includes having Christian, immigrant parents and attending Berea SDAAcademy, Boston Latin School, Balfour Academy, and Northeastern University. Jovia believes that all of these in concert have developed in her an affinity towards holism. She often refers to classical education as a way of life, rather than an approach to schooling. Jovia enjoys clocks, maps and globes, lighthouses, warm beaches, thrifting for natural fiber clothing, and cooking authentic Haitian dishes.
